Police Locate Wanted Huron Township Man

Huron County OPP have now arrested a Huron Township man in connection to firearms call that resulted in a two-day search for a suspect at two properties.

Last week on May 10 and into May 11, police cordoned off a farm property west of Lucknow and another south of Ripley to search for a man thought to be carrying a gun.  The OPP have previously told BlackburnNews.com that when responding officers arrived to the farm near Lucknow, there were alleged threats made towards the officers.

Police then identified 29-year-old Glenn O'Neill of Huron Township as a suspect, before the search was called off on May 12.

O'Neill was located and arrested without incident on Wednesday after police searched a third farm property in Huron Township.

Bruce County Rd. 7 was closed between Concession 2 and Concession 5, and Concession 4 was closed from Sideroad 10 S and Sideroad 20 S, while officers conducted the search.

O'Neill was wanted on four counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, and two counts of possessing a weapon. He is currently being held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday. Anyone with information that can assist police is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.
