Mayor Says Growth Will Create A New Goderich

The theme for the annual Goderich Mayor's Luncheon Thursday was the New Goderich.

Mayor Kevin Morrison made the point that Goderich is indeed changing and growing.

Morrison pointed to a number of new projects coming to Goderich, like the new hotel, a re-built Agricultural Park and the Fusion Homes sub-division at the south end of town. He also pointed out the demands for new housing as more people are leaving larger urban centres

He adds many people are able to work from their homes and enjoy the lifestyle offered by Goderich.

Morrison adds property values are increasing substantially and he expects that to continue for some time.

Morrison says what's good for Goderich is good for Huron County and what's good for Huron County is good for Goderich

When he looks ahead he sees good things happening for both the town and the county.

Some of the projects mentioned by Morrison that will be coming to Goderich this year include the new 60 to 65 room hotel on the former Victoria Public School property, the harbour expansion, the new Waterfront Plan, the new plan for the Ag. Park and the Fusion Homes Development at the south end of Goderich west of Hwy. 21.
