Downtown Clinton will get some colourful additions this summer.
Community Improvement Co-ordinator Angela Smith has arranged for several donated pianos to be given to local schools. The students are painting them and they will then be placed around the downtown.
Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn says they have five pianos now and the number is growing.
He says their biggest concern is the rain, so they are trying to come up with some kinds of covers that people can pull over the pianos to protect them.
They hope to have the pianos in place for the May 24 weekend, and expects they'll be a big part of the Canada 150th celebrations.
Ginn is encouraging residents and visitors to downtown Clinton to sit down a play for a while -- talent or no talent.
