OHL Wrap Up: Attack Win To Finish Season Second In The Midwest

Zachary Roberts had a hat trick and Ethan Szypula scored and assisted on three more as the Owen Sound Attack defeated Guelph 8-5.

Roberts scored the game winner at 4:05 of the third. Maksim Sushko added insurance at 15:46.

Markus Phillips had four assists for Owen Sound in the win.

Santino Centorame and Petrus Palmu also scored for the Attack. Palmu had a pair of assists for Bears.

The Storm were lead by Isaac Ratcliffe and Liam Hawel with a goal and an assist each.

Michael McNiven made 15 saves in the win. Liam Herbst allowed 7 goals on 35 shots.

The Attack will now face Kitchener in the Conference Quarter Finals. The Attack finished the regular season in second place in the Midwest and third in the Western Conference thanks to a 6-4 loss by the London Knights to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds yesterday.

Game 1 of the Attack/Rangers series begins Friday, March 24 at 7:30 pm at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Boris Katchouk struck twice and set up another as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defeated London 6-4.

Blake Speers had the game winner at 4:09 of the third period and Morgan Frost added insurance at 17:08 of the final frame.

The London Knights will play the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL Western Conference Quarterfinals. Game 1 is Friday, March 24, at 7:30pm in London.

The Greyhounds haveĀ  a date with Flint. Game 1 of that series is Thursday, March 23 in Sault Ste. Marie.
