The Listowel Cyclones have a 2-0 series lead in their GOJHL Semi-Final against Waterloo and will be coming home for Game 3.
It was a slow start in Game 2 as Waterloo was able to keep the Listowel attack at bay and scored a short handed goal at the 10:53 mark of the first period.
After killing a penalty at the beginning of the second period, the Cyclones kicked up a gear. Cullen Mercer scored on a tip in as Jamie Huber slid it to his teammate. Then the Cyclones went on a scoring binge scoring four times in four minutes. Holdyn Lansink, Brady Anderson, Jakob Lee and Ben VanOoteghem all scored.
The Anderson goal chased starting Waterloo goalie Liam Devine from the net but the change didn't stop the surge.
In the third, Jamie Huber scored just over a minute into the period. The sixth different Cyclone to score in the game. Jakob Lee scored his second of the game on the power play at 6:49 of the third to make the final 7-1.
Listowel goalie Brock Baier stopped 17 of the 18 shots he faced.

The Elmira Sugar Kings played their way back into their semi-final with a 7-4 win over Kitchener.
The Dutchmen out shot Elmira 49-42 but couldn't complete the comeback after falling behind 3-0 after the first period.
The Sugar Kings survived a Dutchmen rush including a second period penalty shot after Ben Morris was tripped up on a rush. Morris scored on the ensuing penalty shot to pull the Dutchmen to within one at the time. Elmira chipped in one more before the end of the period to make it 4-2.
Kitchener scored twice early in the third to tie it but then Elmira took the lead at the 7:13 mark and held off a late Kitchener charge. The Sugar Kings added an empty net goal and a power play goal in the last minute of the third.
Kitchener still leads the series 2-1 with Game 4 in Kitchener Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
