Wellington North council has given its blessing to the Stack gravel pit on Sideroad 2 East, in the former Arthur Township.
Mayor Andy Lennox says most of the issues around the gravel pit location have been resolved, including a cost sharing agreement on the haul route.
The recommendation will now go to Wellington County which will decide on the Official Plan Amendment required by the pit.
