Perth OPP Support "Push for Change"

Perth County OPP are teaming up with the St. Marys Fire Department and Perth County Paramedic Services to support "The Push for Change" initiative in partnership with Victim Services Bruce Grey Perth.

The awareness campaign began in May when Joe Roberts, a former street youth turned successful entrepreneur began pushing a shopping cart 9,000 km across Canada in a bid to raise awareness and help end youth homelessness. Roberts called his campaign "The Push for Change."

On Saturday, February 18th local first responders are inviting everyone to participate in an "Education Awareness Sleepout Challenge" from noon to 4:00 p.m. There will be free hotdogs and refreshments.

Between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. there is a free family skate after which Perth County OPP and the St. Marys Fire Department face off in a "Guns and Hoses" hockey game.

Admission is by donation and all proceeds to The Push for Change Foundation.

All the action takes place at the St. Marys Pryamid Community Centre in St. Marys.
