An historic little building in the village of Holstein is going up for sale.
Southgate council agreed to the sale of the old Holstein Fire Hall following a request from the Holstein resident who now leases the building.
Council heard that Paul Buddenhagen has invested about $30,000 in refurbishing the building and property, and unless it is sold to him, he would like to be compensated.
The 20-year lease says there will be no compensation for upgrades.
Southgate council will decide how to proceed with the sale at a future meeting.
