Hawks Dominate Barons in Lopsided Win

The Walkerton Hawks demonstrated why they are the first place team in the Pollock Division, running roughshod over Hanover in a lopsided 10-0 victory.

Walkerton outshot the Barons 49-18 in the win.

Lauchlin Elder led the Hawks offense with a pair of goals and four assists. Jordan Caskenette picked up four points in the win with a goal and three assists. Connor Patton struck twice and set up one more for three points in the win. Justin McCrae and Blair Jenkins also earned three points each with a goal and two assists.

Ryan Winter made 18 saves in the win. Braeden Ellis allowed six goals on 37 shots before being replaced by Zack Girdler in the third. Girdler stopped eight shots in relief.
