Huber Picks Up Three Points In Cyclones Win

Jamie Huber scored and set up two more as the Listowel Cyclones beat Brantford 5-2 in the GOJHL.

Brock Baier made 29 saves to earn the win.

Keaton Willis and Blake Nichol scored 22 seconds apart in the first put the Listowel Cyclones on the board. Kyle West answered for the 99ers a minute and 44 seconds later to bring the 99ers within a goal.

Huber scored early in the second period and Mitch Deelstra scored at 7:15 to put the Cyclones up 4-1 heading into the third.

Jonathan Pace tried to get a late rally going for the 99ers with a power play goal at 14:54 of the final frame but that was all the offense the 99ers would generate. Listowel's Cullen Mercer scored on an empty 99ers net with just under two-and-a-half minutes remaining.

Listowel leads the Midwestern Conference by ten points over Elmira. The Cyclones welcome the second place Sugar Kings Friday night at 7:30om.
