Herrfort Scores a Hat Trick in Cyclones Win

Listowel 5 Brantford 1

Chayse Herrfort had a hat trick and added an assists in the Listowel Cyclones 5-1 win over Brantford.

Holdyn Lansink had three assists in the win and Jakob Lee scored an had two assists. Ben Van Ooteghem also scored for the Cyclones.

Justin Hergott earned the win with 31 saves. Aidan Link took the loss for the 99ers, turning aside 43 shots.

It was a clean victory for the Cyclones, with no penalties over the full 60 minutes. The 99ers racked up 30 minutes on seven infractions.

Listowel was 1-5 on the power play.

Cambridge 5 Guelph 4

Riley MacRae scored what would stand as the game winner late in the second period as the Cambridge Winterhawks beat Guelph 5-4.

Anthony Mota tried to spark a Hurricanes rally with a goal early in the third but that would be the last time Guelph would score before the clock ran out.

The game was tied 3-3 after the first period before Matt MacKay and MacRae scored in the second to give the Winterhawks the lead.

Max Wright earned the win with 24 saves. Jacob Hutchings made 21 saves for the Hurricanes.
