Scotiabank Commits To Wingham Hospital Redevelopment Project

The Wingham and District Hospital re-development project has received another donation.

Scotiabank has pledged $20,000 to the hospital foundation.

With branches in Goderich and Listowel, Scotiabank serves clients throughout much of the Wingham and District Hospital’s service area.

The hospital is undergoing the first stages of a $17-million redevelopment. Less than $6-million of that is coming from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, the rest is being raised by community contributions.

Work is nearing completion on the new clinic in the community healthcare campus and the new registration area within the hospital. The Rehabilitation Department has been expanded and moved to the front of the hospital and is now open and serving patients.

Goderich Branch Manager Jane Beaver and District VP Andrew Smith visited the hospital to present their $20,000 donation.

"Scotiabank believes in helping communities bring their passions to life and supporting this unique vision for healthcare at the Wingham Hospital will make all the surrounding communities a richer place for everyone to live," she says.
