Municipality of Bluewater Council has asked the Bayfield Arena Community Partners Association for more information before providing support for a funding application from the Ontario150 program.
Mayor Tyler Hessel explains the association is only asking for support from the municipality so they can submit the request for a grant from Ontario150.
The association wants a grant to upgrade the elevator in the community centre.
Council is asking for more information about the work being proposed and whether there would be stricter accessibility standards that will have to be met.
Once the report is provided, it will be reviewed by staff and a recommendation will come to council.
Hessel says he's not expecting any problems.
