Cowbell Brewing Company of Blyth held a very successful launch party on Saturday night.
The event, held at the Blyth Community Centre, drew over 1,000 people, all on hand to taste the first Cowbell beer, Absent Landlord.
Grant Sparling, the Vice-President and General Manager of Cowbell, says the reception was great.
"We had a lot of people come out, and the reception and support from Huron County and the people of Blyth toward what we're doing has been great."
Cowbell will break ground June 6th on their brewery facility at the south end of Blyth, which will open in spring 2017.
"June 6th will be a very exciting day," says Sparling, "we are building a world-class, state-of-the-art facility, that will feature a restaurant, an outlet to buy our product, an athletics area, and an outdoor music and entertainment venue."
Cowbell will officially launch Absent Landlord in LCBO stores later this month. Absent Landlord is named after Henry Blyth Esq., who bought the town of Drummond in 1855, and the town was renamed Blyth. Henry never left England to see his town, hence the Absent Landlord name.
