Southgate council struggled Wednesday to try to agree on what to do with Councillor Christine Gordon for breaking the municipal code of conduct.
An integrity commissioner ruled Gordon could be reprimanded or lose up to 90 days of pay after she removed written material from a closed session.
Amid a flurry of motions, council considered punishments such as asking Gordon to apologize or having her lose pay up to the $4,500 cost of the integrity commissioner.
In the end, frustrated councillors could find nothing to agree on regarding Councillor Gordon.
