Brockton Considers Palliative Care Facility

Brockton council is considering doing more for palliative care patients.

Mayor David Inglis supports the project, saying, "There is a need for this in Brockton.  There’s a need for beds, for a home-like environment for people that are passing on."

The mayor says this subject has crossed his desk before, and there would be "tremendous support" for this type of facility in Brockton.

Council will consider a motion next month to allow a palliative care hospice to proceed to the planning stages.
