Knights Acquire Chatham Native From Greyhounds

The London Knights have acquired Chatham native Joseph Raaymakers from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for goaltender Tyler Johnson and draft picks.

“We are very excited to welcome Joseph to the Knights franchise,"said Knights General Manager Rob Simpson. “We are very proud to be bringing in a very talented player, who also has local roots.”

Raaymakers has spent the last three seasons with the Greyhounds.  In 94 games, the 19-year-old goalie a 3.36 goals against average and a .892 save percentage.

As part of the trade, the Greyhounds will get Johnson, and receive Flint’s second round pick in 2019 OHL Priority Selection, and London’s second round pick in 2023 OHL Priority Selection. Sault Ste. Marie also gets London’s fourth round pick in 2020 OHL Priority Selection, on the condition that Raaymakers plays one regular season or playoff game in his overage season (2018-2019).
