Attack Stop Knights 4-3 in Overtime

Sean Durzi scored in overtime as the Owen Sound Attack beat the Knights 4-3 Sunday in London.

The Knights, meanwhile, secure a point, but drop their eighth game in a row. They sit in last place in the West Division with just three points.

Owen Sound struck first in the opening period with Aidan Dudas' sixth goal of the year. Maksim Sushko doubled the Attack lead in the second period with his seventh score of the season to make the game 2-0 Owen Sound by second intermission.

Robert Thomas' goal at 57 seconds into the third frame cut the Owen Sound lead to 2-1, but the Attack got the two-goal lead back when Nick Suzuki found the net at 3:20 in the third. London scored two unanswered goals to force the overtime period, off the sticks of Evan Bouchard and Josh Nelson. Durzi's overtime winner was notched at 1:44 of the overtime period.

Zack Bowman had 35 saves in goal for the Attack. Jordan Kooy started the game for the Knights but was pulled after the Suzuki goal. Tyler Johnson finished the game and stopped every shot expect the overtime goal. Together the two London goalies had 27 saves.

Owen Sound heads to Erie Saturday night for the first of two back-to-back games. London travels to Kitchener Friday night.
