Jr. Hockey Wrap-Up – October 11, 2017

The Leamington Flyers shutout the Vipers 3-0 on Wednesday to snap LaSalle’s five-game win streak.

Preston Corp, Dylan Weston and Griffin Robinson scored the three goals for Leamington.

The Flyers return home on Thursday to face off against the Strathroy Rockets at 7:10pm. And then on Saturday, the Vipers take on the Rockets at 7:30pm at the West Middlesex Memorial Arena.


Also in the GOJHL, Brandon Glover and Mitchell Webb led the London Nationals to blank the St. Marys Lincolns 9-0.

Glover Webb both scored a hat-trick in London’s shutout victory, while Brenden Trottier, Cohen Kiteley and Jack Webb each scored once.

The Nationals are in Komoka on Saturday to battle the Kings at 7:15pm.


And in Junior C hockey, the Blenheim Blades beat the Lakers 8-3 to hand Wallaceburg their fifth straight loss.

Lucas Fancy led scoring for Blenheim with two goals, while Ryan Malott, Austin Bentley, Dede Cato, Breydon Casier, John Montgomery and Drew Marlatt each scored once.

Matthew Brevetti, Ryan MacAlpine and Elijah Contreras each scored a goal for Wallaceburg.

The Blades will head to Mooretown on Saturday to take on the Flags at 7:30pm. And then on Monday, the Lakers travel to Wheatley to fight off the Sharks at 7pm.
