The Essex 73's scored a 4-1 victory over the Dorchester Dolphins on Friday to take a 2-0 series lead.
Michael Vieira, Dalton Langlois, Tyler Scott and Adam Gaiarin all scored once for Essex.
Nick Griffin scored the single goal for Dorchester.
Game 3 is set for Sunday in Essex. The two teams face off at 7pm.
