Lightning Beat Orangeville 109-97

Doug Herring, Jr. sunk 27 points including five three-pointers, as the London Lightning beat the Orangeville A's 109-97 at Budweiser Gardens.

It was the tenth straight win for the Lightning, who lead the NBL with a 14-3 record and sit in first place in the Central Division standings.

Herring led all scorers in the game and was among six London players with double-digit point totals in the game.

Ryan Anderson led Lightning starters with 18 points, plus eight rebounds and seven assists.  Junior Cadougan had 15 points, eight asissts and five boards, while Julian Boyd pushed 14 points through the net.

The Lightning had control of the entire game, getting off to an early lead and a 55-48 lead at halftime.  London had a 33-24 third quarter lead to give them the space needed to take their tenth straight game.

Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson led the A's with 21 points.  Justin Moss and Stefan Nastic both had double-doubles for Orangeville, with Nastic leading in rebounds with 12.

The Lightning will take on the Halifax Hurricanes Monday afternoon in a special Family Day contest at Budweiser Gardens.
