Express Comeback Falls Short Against Lightning

The Windsor Express weren't able to complete a comeback on Wednesday, falling 91-87 to the London Lightning.

The Lightning gained a 16 point lead on the Express in the first quarter, but Windsor was able to bridge the gap to go into halftime with London leading 49-41. The Express continued to hammer at London's lead to make it a three point game in the third, with London leading 68-65 going into the final frame.

The Express tied things up at 79-79 with 6:37 remaining in the fourth, but London regained the lead to end the game with a four point advantage.

Ryan Anderson scored a game-high 25 points for London, while Junior Cadougan added 13 points and two rebounds. Julian Boyd and Royce White put up 12 points each as well.

DeAndre Thomas led the Express in scoring with 17 points. Maurice Jones put up 16 points and eight rebounds, and Quinnel Brown added 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Express are at the WFCU Centre on Friday to take on the Kitchener Waterloo Titans at 7pm. And then on January 26, the Lightning head to Kitchener to battle the Titans at 7pm.
