Third Man Charged In Murder Probe

A third man is now facing an assault charge as London police continue to investigate the death of William MacPherson.

The 60-year-old City of London employee was last seen walking with four men west on Bathurst St. near Talbot St. shortly after 12:00 pm on August 9. He was wearing blue shorts and no shirt at that time. His body was found near the Thames River in the area of Wortley Rd. and Stanley St. around 7:45pm August 10.

Two men, 48-year-old Paul Carew and 34-year-old Philip Scott Pearson, were charged last week with assault. According to police, the charges stem from information about an alleged fight that was received by investigators probing MacPherson’s homicide. Police announced Monday that a third man, 35-year-old Howard Lonie Kahosed, is also charged with one count of assault. All three suspects are listed by police as being of "no fixed address."

"Investigators continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the homicide of William MacPherson, and continue to appeal to the public for any information related to Mr. MacPherson," police said in a statement issued Monday. "Of particular interest is the time period between noon on Thursday, August 9, 2018, and 7:45 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018."

MacPherson is London's fourth homicide victim of 2018.
