London Man Charged With Manslaughter In Etobicoke Hit-And-Run

A 40-year-old London man has been charged in connection to a suspected hit-and-run that claimed the life of another man in Etobicoke.

The Toronto Police Service says on Monday around 11pm, police responded to a collision at Ninth St. and Tenth St. after a 48-year-old was struck by a vehicle.

Police say the victim and another man were involved in an altercation that ended with the victim being struck by a Dodge vehicle. The driver then fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Constantinos Hondrocostas, 40, of London has since been arrested and charged manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death, failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and impaired by drug. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
