Crews Repair London Water Main Break

Residents of a south London neighbourhood may notice some yellow water coming out of their taps.

A large water main ruptured in the White Oaks area Sunday afternoon, according to Dan Huggins, water quality manager of the city's water operations division. As a result, residents may notice that their water may have a yellowish colour.

Huggins says the rupture released some rust from iron water mains throughout the White Oaks area. The rust is not a health issue, but may result in stained laundry.

City crews have been working to repair the main and Huggins says the water should be running clear by later Sunday night.

Anyone who may still have yellowish water on Monday morning should call (519) 661-4739.
