Police Break Vehicle Window To Rescue Infant

Police were forced to smash the window of a vehicle north of Simcoe after a 4-month-old child was accidentally locked inside.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Sunday around 8:44pm, concerned parents in Waterford contacted officers after their vehicle locked automatically and trapped their child inside.

Police responded to a Yin St. address and broke the passenger side window at the request of the owner to safely remove the child.

Police say the infant had only been in the vehicle for a few minutes and was found to be in good health.
