London Police Looking Into Stranger Danger

London police are looking into a report of a strange man seen interacting with children near a school.

Police say they received a call around 11am Wednesday, saying that an adult male was offering students candy outside a fence at an elementary school on Grey St.

A number of students did accept the candy given out and some even ate it, according to Constable Sandasha Bough.

Staff at the school were made aware of what was going on and police were immediately called.

The man is described as white, 35 to 50 years of age, wearing a yellow rain jacket and a grey-and-red toque. He had a black trimmed beard and was last seen riding a bicycle.

Police are using this incident to remind parents to be sure their children are aware of their personal safety.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call London police at (519) 661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
