Woman Hurt Trying To Stop Man From Taking Child

London police say a man is charged after allegedly trying to take a 3-year-old child from a parked car.

According to police, around 7:30pm on Monday, a man approached a woman and a three-year-old girl who were sitting in a car in a parking lot near Dundas St. and Adelaide St. Police say the man tried to take the child from the car, but the woman stopped him. While doing so, she was assaulted by the man and suffered minor injuries. The child wasn't hurt.

Not long after, police arrested a suspect.

A 26-year-old man is charged with resisting arrest, attempting to commit an indictable offence, and two counts of assault.
