Man Charged After Labatt Standoff

A standoff that saw a man throw beer bottles at London police officers has led to several charges against a 29-year-old man.

Police say they were called around 9:20pm Sunday to the Labatt brewery property on Simcoe St. Police had received a call about a person that had broken into a secured parking lot and a trailer that was on the property.

Damage is estimated at $117,000.

Bruce John, 29, of no fixed address is charged with break and enter, mischief to property over $5,000, arson causing damage to property, assaulting a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, and resisting arrest.
