Victoria Day Closures

The Victoria Day long weekend, which is widely considered to be the unofficial kickoff to summer, has arrived.

The statutory holiday, in honour of the late Queen Victoria's birthday, means no work or school for most on Monday. Whether you're planning on heading to the cottage, tackling some gardening or just hanging out on a patio, there are some closures to keep in mind.

Below is a list of what’s open and closed in London on holiday Monday.

CLOSED:

Government offices (municipal, provincial, and federal) Schools Canada Post (no mail delivery) Malls (including White Oaks Mall, Masonville Place, and Westmount Shopping Centre) Banks LCBO/Beer Stores Grocery stores Costco Wholesale London Public Library branches Most drug stores (Shoppers Drug Mart locations at 1224 Commissioners Rd.W., 510 Hamilton Rd. and in Sherwood Forest Mall at 1225 Wonderland Rd. N will be open from 9am-6pm)

OPEN:

Fanshawe Pioneer Village (Queen Victoria birthday festivities starting at 11am) Fanshawe Conservation Area (Fanshawe Optimist Fireworks Show at dusk, for campsite availability call 1-866-668-2267) Eldon House (Garden Tea Party at Fanshawe Pioneer Village 2pm-4pm) Labatt Retail Store on the corner of Richmond St. and Horton St. – 11am-6pm London Children's Museum - 10am-5pm London's 16 spray pads – 9am-9pm Movie theatres The LTC will be running on a Sunday schedule
