Seniors Ripped Off By PSW Imposter

London police have made an arrest after some seniors were victimized by a woman posing as a personal support worker.

Police say they were called to a seniors residence on Sunday, April 13 regarding a series of thefts from residents. The victims reported that a woman, posing as a PSW, took them to the bank to help them with their banking, but then took their cash when they returned home.

Investigators were also told the woman was given money by residents to make purchases at stores for them, but never returned.

The London Police Financial Crimes Unit investigation led to the arrest of 33-year-old Amanda Albert of London.

She is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. She is to appear in court next month.
