An elderly man is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Exeter.
Huron OPP said the collision happened just before 8pm Saturday at the intersection of Thames Rd. E and Morrison Line just east of the town.
According to investigators, the driver of a Kia Rondo was heading south on Morrison Line when he came to a stop sign at Thames Rd. E. It's believed the driver stopped at the stop sign, but then proceeded into the intersection into the path of a westbound mini-van.
Two people in the mini-van were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries after the collision. The driver of the Kia, 86-year-old Lambert Branderhorst of Exeter, was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.
Police are still investigating.
