Lightning Stop Edge 101-86, Take 2-1 Series Lead

Royce White scored 24 points as the London Lightning regained control of their Central Division Finals series.

The Lightning dominated the fourth quarter in their 101-86 win over the Edge in St. John`s Saturday night. The win gives London a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven finals series.

The Edge did start the contest strong, outscoring the Lightning 27-21 in the first quarter, though London pulled even by halftime and took a 51-50 lead. The Lightning began to pull away slightly in the third before taking control down the stretch, putting up 27 points to St. John`s 16.

Kyle Johnson scored 22 points off the bench for London, while Garrett Williamson and Ryan Anderson put up 11 points apiece. Doug Herring Jr. lead the Lightning in rebounds with seven.

Carl English led the Edge and all scorers in the game with 25 points. Desmond Lee collected a double-double with 24 points and a team-leading ten rebounds, and Ryan Reid added 14 points.

Game 4 is Monday night in St. John`s.
