Homeowner Injured In Break-In

A man and a woman are facing half a dozen charges after a break and enter at a home north of London turned violent.

Middlesex OPP arrested the pair earlier this week in connection with the April 11 robbery at a home on Ten Mile Rd. The homeowner returned to his property around 9am to find a strange vehicle in the driveway and two people inside the house. When confronted by the homeowner the two intruders became violent, according to police.

The homeowner was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.

"We certainly don't advise members of the public confront perpetrators, this can be very dangerous," said Constable Max Gomex. "If a person is a witness to a crime, immediately call 911 and report exactly what you see to police. We are relieved this victim was not seriously injured."

According to police, the suspects had forced their way into the home.

A 29-year-old London man is charged with assault causing bodily harm, robbery with a weapon, break and enter, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and failure to comply with recognizance.

A 25-year-old London woman is charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent, break and enter, failure to comply with a probation order and failure to comply with recognizance.
