Oxycodone, Shotgun Seized In East London Drug Bust

A man and woman are facing charges after a raid at an east London home turned up marijuana, oxycodone, brass knuckles, and a shotgun.

London police searched the home on Saddy Cres. on Friday. Inside, officers found 629 g of marijuana, 26 oxycodone tablets, 13 g of cannabis resin, various marijuana edibles, brass knuckles, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, and 50 rounds of ammunition.

The drugs seized are worth an estimated $7,450.

A 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both from London, are charged with possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a Schedule I Substance, possession of a restricted firearm, and careless storage of a firearm and ammunition.

An additional charge of possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles) has been laid against the 38-year-old man.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Mary 25.
