Jim Cuddy To Headline Home County

Iconic Canadian musician Jim Cuddy is among several musical talents who will grace the stage in London's Victoria Park during this year's Home County Music and Art Festival.

As part of Home County's 45th year, The Jim Cuddy Band will be the headline the opening night of the festival on July 20.

“We are very excited to have an iconic musician like Jim Cuddy performing in Victoria Park for this milestone edition of Home County,” said Darin J. Addison, the festival’s artistic director, in a news release.

Cuddy is best known as one of the founding members of Canadian band Blue Rodeo. He has also been recognized with multiple JUNO Awards, inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, named to the Order of Canada, and has received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

The official Home County lineup was announced on Thursday, and includes folk/rock duo Harrow Fair who will headline July 21 and PEI vocal artist Irish Mythen who will be the headline act on July 22.

“There are a number of other performers making their debut at the festival this year, and a few that have been here before," said Addison.

A number of local performers will also take the stage throughout the festival, including Broomsticks & Hammers, The Rizdales, New Cumberland, The Cedar Sisters and Ken Yates.

In addition, Home County is again featuring its Emerging Artist Stage for more local musicians, including Jessica Allosery, John Muirhead, Chad Price, Fraser Teeple, Willow Switch and Yess Woah.

From July 20-22, Home County will feature more than 40 musical acts on seven stages, over 120 juried Canadian craft artisans, over 30 food vendors serving a variety of international cuisines, craft demonstrations, a community/open stage, and an interactive family area.
