Lightning Dominate Titans 124-97

Kyle Johnson scored a whopping 41 points as the London Lightning beat the Titans 124-97 in Kitchener Sunday afternoon.

The Lightning have sole possession of first place in the NBL Central Division with a 23-13 record.

London came out swinging in the first quarter, outscoring Kitchener-Waterloo 32-14, then holding a 63-37 lead at halftime. The Lightning led by 29 points after three periods and held off a scoring blitz by the Titans down the stretch to take the game.

Garrett Williamson added 20 points for the Lightning and Doug Herring Jr. sank 14. Herring also picked up 11 assists for a double-double.

Williamson also led London in defence with nine rebounds.

Greg Morrow was the scoring lead for K-W with 19 points. Dominic Phillips added 17 off the bench and Derek Hall contributed 15 while leading in rebounds with 11.

The Lightning are off until next Sunday when they travel to Windsor and take on the Express.
