Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent, London-Middlesex, and Elgin County as a band of snow moves across the region.
Forecasters say they are tracking a storm over Lake Huron that is expected to shift south this evening and could drop up to 15 cm of snow on the region by Friday morning.
The snowfall is expected to become heavy at times as lake effect flurries develop and that could also affect driving conditions.
