Snow Moving Out, Wind Moving In

Southwestern Ontario will see changing weather as the work week begins.

Environment Canada cancelled a special weather statement for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent late Sunday afternoon, and then for London-Middlesex early Sunday evening, though snow was still flying around and winds were beginning to pick up.

Those increased wind speeds mean that temperatures will drop late Sunday night into Monday morning.

Forecasters call for sustained winds around 30 km/hr, gusting to 50 km/hr. This could result in blowing snow for some areas and the falling temperatures may make some roads and sidewalks slippery.

Temperatures for Monday are expected to reach just -7 C. Another minor snow system is being tracked and could more of the white stuff for Monday night into Tuesday.
