Knights Trade Cliff Pu To Frontenacs

Cliff Pu, who helped lead the London Knights to a Memorial Cup Victory in the 2015-2016 season will no longer be wearing the green and gold jersey.

The Knights have traded the 19-year-old forward to the Kingston Frontenacs.

“We would like to thank Cliff for his dedicated time here in London,” said Knights General Manager Rob Simpson. “Cliff was instrumental in our 2015-2016 MasterCard Memorial Cup Championship season, and he has been a tremendous leader for our organization over the past few years. We wish Cliff all of the best in Kingston and his professional hockey career.”

In exchange for Pu, the Knights acquire Frontenacs forward Nathan Dunkley and the team's second-round pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, as well as Windsor’s 3rd round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection.

Dunkley, 17, was Kingston’s first-round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection and has averaged over a point per game this season.

“We are excited to see Nathan come to London and step into our lineup,” said Simpson. “He has had a very successful start to the season and we look forward to seeing his development for years to come.”

The left winger and Campbellford native will wear #17 for the Knights.
