Oxford County OPP are investigating after children damaged property and threatened a man at a Tillsonburg home.
On Friday at around 4:22pm, police say they received report of mischief at a residence on Bidwell St. in Tillsonburg.
According to police, a resident noticed children, who looked around 10 years old, damaging a mailbox.
Police say when the concerned citizen approached the kids and told them to stop, one of the children attempted to assault him. According to police, one of the kids told the man they would be coming back to do more damage.
OPP later discovered that the same children involved in this incident have been responsible for damaging decorations and breaking windows in the past.
"Police are urging all parents and caregivers to sit down and have a conversation with their children about the consequences of committing criminal offences and respecting others and their property," says Constable Ed Sanchuk.
