Following a back and forth game, the London Knights beat the Saginaw Spirit 4-3 in overtime on Friday.
Sam Miletic scored late in the first period to give London a 1-0 lead heading into the second, where Evan Bouchard scored for the Knights after 4:47. However, Saginaw scored two back-to-back goals to make it a 2-2 tie game after 40 minutes.
Cliff Pu scored 1:36 into the third to retake the lead for London, but the Spirit scored to tie the game once again and force OT.
Miletic scored the game winner for London 2:47 into extra time.
London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 32 saves out of 35 shots on net.
The Knights will head to Windsor on Sunday to battle the Spitfires at 2:05pm.
