Fatal Train Crash Victim Named

A Zorra Township senior has been identified as the man killed when a pickup truck collided with a train east of London.

James Henderson, 73, was behind the wheel of a pickup that was heading north on the 13th Line, north of Road 68, near Thamesford when it was hit by a westbound CP train just before 9:40am on Thursday.

Henderson, who was alone in the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one aboard the freight train was hurt.

The crossing does not have safety arms but is equipped with signal lights that were working at the time of the crash.

Oxford OPP, along with Canadian Pacific police, continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
