Cash And Fentanyl Patches Seized By St. Thomas Police

St. Thomas police seized a stack of fentanyl patches and thousands of dollars in cash at a raid in the south end.

On Friday, St. Thomas police searched a home in the south end of the city. During the search, police say they found 30 prescription fentanyl patches in various strengths, as well as several thousand dollars in Canadian cash.

Police also searched two cars and found a large amount of Canadian cash inside them.

According to police, the fentanyl patches are worth about $8,000 on the streets.

A 52-year-old St. Thomas resident has been charged with trafficking of a controlled substance.

A 31-year-old London man has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both people have been taken into custody and may face additional charges.
