A woman is dead after she was hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the street on Wharncliffe Rd.
London police say the 68-year-old London woman was hit around 6:45am Wednesday. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The collision happened on Wharncliffe about halfway between Baseline Rd. and Commissioners Rd.
Wharncliffe Rd. was closed for several hours as police investigated. It re-opened just after 11am.
At this point, no names have been released.
