Silver Coins Snatched From Simcoe Home

Nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of silver coins have been stolen from a home in Norfolk County.

The OPP were called to a home on Norfolk St. S in Simcoe on Friday regarding missing silver bullions, valued at approximately $248,000. It's believed the coins were taken sometime between June 29 and September 29.

At this point, it is not known how many people may have been involved in the theft and there are no suspect descriptions.

The coins are silver with a bison head on one side and a native head on the other side.

Police are asking anyone with information about the stolen coins to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
