Police Investigating Bomb Threat

London police found no explosive devices after a bomb threat was made against an east-end office building Wednesday.

Officers searched both the inside and outside of the office on York St., near Glebe St. around 9am after being notified of the threat.

While the situation resulted in some tense moments for people in the area, Constable Sandasha Bough said none of the buildings were evacuated as a result.

"All of the businesses in the surrounding area were notified of the bomb threat. However, it was up to their discretion whether or not they wanted to evacuate. I was told there were no evacuations," said Bough.

Nothing suspicious was found during the search but police continue to investigate the matter.

At this point, police are not commenting on whether the threat was made by phone.

"That is an investigative detail that we cannot provide at this time," said Bough.

Anyone with information about the bomb threat is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
