Oxford OPP are warning about the dangers of trespassing after a 64-year-old man was found dead inside a power station compound in Zorra Township.
A passerby spotted someone lying on the ground of the locked Hydro One substation compound around 7:15pm Wednesday and called police.
Emergency crews, including an air ambulance, arrived on scene. They needed the assistance of Hydro One workers to get inside the locked and fenced in area.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and no foul play is suspected.
Police say the 64-year-old Durham man was not a Hydro One employee and was trespassing at the time of the incident. They are advising all citizens of the inherent dangers of trespassing into an electrical facility.
