Human remains found last week in Simcoe have been identified as those belonging to a 73-year-old man who vanished earlier this month.
Norfolk OPP began looking for Robert Ranford after he was reported missing on July 13. He had been last seen delivering newspapers on July 6.
Officers discovered human remains in the area of Windham St. last Tuesday. An autopsy confirmed the remains were that of Ranford.
Police say foul play is not suspected and the death is not considered suspicious.
