FedEx Office Stores Closing

Two London FedEx Office Print and Ship Centres will be closing their doors as the company shutters its Canadian retail operations.

FedEx Office confirmed in an email to Blackburn News that it is shutting down all 24 centres across the country. The decision puts 214 people out of work.

"We reached the decision to exit the Canadian market after thoughtful evaluations of our business operations and considerations about our future," said FedEx Office spokesperson Stacey Sullivan, in a written statement. "We are very appreciative of the hard work and contributions of our team members, who took care of our customers and made it possible for FedEx Office to earn its reputation as a provider of the very best in production, printing and shipping services."

The London location at 879 Wellington Rd. will close its doors by August 18, while a closure date for the outlet at 595 Fanshawe Park Rd. W has yet to be released.

FedEx Office has been in Canada for 32-years.

The company says the decision will not affect its shipping operations in Canada.
